Attempted Murder Investigation Launched After Shot Fired Into Mrs. Liquor In Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an attempted murder after a shot was fired into Mrs. Liquor in Apple Valley on Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at about 4:26 p.m. on July 6, 2026, at the business located in the 13500 block of Navajo Road, near Powhatan Road.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel, deputies responded after reports that shots were heard near the liquor store.

When deputies arrived, they learned two adult male subjects had briefly exchanged words outside the business before one of the men fired a single round, Orejel said.

The round entered the liquor store, but authorities have not released any information indicating that anyone was struck or injured.

Deputies conducted an area search for the suspect, but the individual was not located.

Investigators processed the scene and placed crime scene tape around the front entrance of the business before clearing the location Monday evening.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Apple Valley Police Department.
