VICTORVILLE, Calif. — A verbal argument between two men ended with one man being stabbed ‘several times’ and the other arrested for attempted murder, officials said.
The suspect, Grant Cornelious, 55, of Victorville was arrested after Victorville Police responded to a stabbing in the 16900 Block of D Street on June 24, 2018.

The argument escalated and Grant Cornelious used a knife to stab the victim, a 53-year-old resident of Victorville.
“The woman, who was driving the car pulled off the roadway. The two men exited the car and continued fighting,” stated a Sheriff’s news release.
The victim suffered several stab wounds and was transported by a medical helicopter to a trauma center for further treatment. He’s reported to be in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
Cornelious sustained injuries to his face during the fight and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. After his release from the hospital, Cornelious was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder.
