APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): Authorities with the Apple Valley School District said that Sycamore Rocks Elementary school was placed on a brief lockdown after receiving threats via social media on Tuesday. Students were evacuated and a Apple Valley School District Police responded to the school to do a thorough sweep of the campus.
After completing the full sweep of the campus, it was determined that the threat was not credible. All students were safe and were no in any imminent danger and the evacuation was done as a precaution. In a written statement provided to Victor Valley News on Tuesday, the district police said, “The safety of our students is our utmost priority and we have taken all possible measures to ensure security.”
