Apple Valley Storm Academy 2005 girls Soccer team win National Title in Aurora, Colorado

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Apple Valley Storm Academy 2005 girls Soccer team just won a National Title in Aurora, Colorado. Competing against teams from all over the country.

The girl’s journey started with traveling to Davis, California and winning Western Regionals. Once they won that tournament playing 4 games over the course of 6 days they received the invitation to travel to Nationals in Aurora, Colorado.

The US Youth Soccer Clubs National Tournament brought teams from all over the nation.

“In our bracket, we competed against teams from Georgia/South Carolina, Minnesota, and Illinois. After winning our bracket we played Woodbury, Minnesota, the top team in the other bracket. The final game consisted of two 35 minute halves that ended with a score of 0-0,” stated Coach Tami Ebright.

“Then two 10 minute overtime periods still ending in 0-0. Then finally deciding the winner with kicks from the mark. Apple Valley Storm scored 3 and Minnesota scored 2. They have been together for only 4 years and are the first girl Storm team to accomplish back to back Championships in Regionals and Nationals,” Ebright said.
