Apple Valley Man Enters Home and Holds Ex-Girlfriend Against Her Will; Suspect Later Arrested

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 30-year-old Apple Valley man was arrested after entering his ex-girlfriend’s home and holding her against her will, officials said.

It happened at approximately 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the 20000 block of Teton Road, when the 41-year-old victim awoke to find her ex-boyfriend in her bed with her.

Sheriff’s officials said the victim attempted to leave but the suspect prevented her from doing so. The victim’s mother entered the room a few minutes later and the suspect fled the residence. 

Deputy A. Gonzalez responded to the location and contacted the victim and her mother. 

On February 14, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the suspect was contacted on Victor Street in the city of Victorville.

The suspect, Dustin Matthew Thomas, was arrested for PC 236, false imprisonment. Thoams was transported to High Desert Detention Center for housing, where he is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
