Apple Valley man, 24, arrested for harassing 911

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Apple Valley Police arrested a 24-year-old man who allegedly called 911 over a dozen times.
It happened on May 26, 2019, at about 1:17 am when deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a 911 call on the 21000 block of Thunderbird Road.
Deputies arrived and made contact with the subject, Robert Eckert, a resident of Apple Valley.
“Upon arrival, it was discovered the caller was not in need of emergency services and had called 911 over 15 times,” stated sheriff’s spokeswoman Jackie Alban.
Eckert was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in violation of PC653X(A), 911 harass or annoy.
According to public booking logs, he was cite released and is no longer in custody.
