Apple Valley Felon Arrested on Multiple Charges

LUCERNE VALLEY, CA:(VVNG.com)- A registered felon was arrested on multiple charges during a gang enforcement probation check, authorities said.

On September 3, 2016, deputies from the Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team, conducted a probation check at a motel in the 31800 block of State Highway 18 in Lucerne Valley.

Deputies made contact with 37-year-old Conrado Montenegro, a resident of Apple Valley.

While searching Montenegro deputies found marijuana in his pocket, as well as keys to a vehicle he had been driving. Deputies searched the vehicle and found a baggie containing a substance which appeared to be methamphetamine and a loaded firearm. Deputies also searched Montenegro’s room at the motel and found an additional amount of methamphetamine and other drug related paraphernalia, and an additional firearm.

During the investigation, it was discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from a car dealership in Ontario.

Montenegro was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center as is being held on $50,000.00 bail.
