Armed Robbery Suspect on The Loose in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- Just after 11:00 AM., on Sunday, February 28th an armed robbery was reported at Neil’s Donuts located on the 18100 block of Highway 18 in Apple Valley.
Per scanner traffic, a victim at Neil’s Donuts was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect. It’s unknown if any money was taken from the victim/location. The suspect stole the victims cell phone.
The suspect is described as a black male adult, stocky build, with a goatee, wearing a black beanie, green shirt, black basketball shorts and is armed with a black handgun.
According to reports, the suspect ran through the back door of the business and possibly headed northbound towards the St. Mary’s overflow staff parking lot.
A CHP helicopter is assisting ground deputies with an area search for the suspect. As of 11:50 AM., no arrest have been made.
