ADELANTO-(VVNG.com): According to the California Highway patrol the city of Adelanto has closed Palmdale Road at Pearmain Street and Palmdale Road at Verbena Road. Roadways in Adelanto are reported to be flooded in most areas and drivers are reminded to drive with caution not driving through standing water whenever possible.
Driving through as little as 6 inches of water can cause your vehicle to stall or causing the driver to lose control. Only 1’ of water can make a vehicle float and only 2’ of water can cause a SUV to float. Heavy rains are expected through Thursday morning, and a flood warning issued by National Weather Service will remain in effect until that time.
