911 service restored in the Victor Valley

UPDATE  7/31/18 @ 11:45 PM: The Barstow Dispatch Center is now receiving 911 calls. For any emergencies please dial 911.

Victor Valley, Calif (VVNG.com) According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Twitter account, 911 lines are down in the High Desert.

The tweet advised members of the community that calls made to 911 will be down “for an unknown an amount of time.” stated the tweet.

“If you have an emergency, please call (760) 956-5001. Text to 911 is still operational, officials said.

The outage is affecting Victorville and the surrounding cities, including Barstow.

“CHP is also affected by the outage,” stated a Sheriff’s official, “which is caused by a Frontier or Verizon issue at this time.”
