Alan Klopping Recognized as Jay Obernolte’s Outstanding Teacher of the Month

HESPERIA – Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) has honored Alan Klopping from Academy for Academic Excellence as the Outstanding Teacher of the Month for the 33rd Assembly District.
Alan Klopping is a high school math teacher, teaching Honors Trigonometry, AP Calculus, and Integrated Math II. Mr. Klopping has a tremendous impact on his students’ achievement due to his extensive knowledge and understanding of mathematics and his ability to clearly explain the subject. He finds innovative ways to help his students remember concepts and algorithms, which is the key to helping students understand and succeed in one of the toughest classes in school. He also doesn’t let his students quit. He works with those who are struggling and encourages them to persevere. That’s why he is a popular teacher who has earned both praise and respect from his students.
“Alan is clearly a caring and passionate teacher. He constantly finds new and innovative ways to help his students learn and understand math, which is a critical subject for many emerging careers,” Assemblyman Obernolte said. “Alan not only excels in the classroom but is also well respected by his students. It is my honor to recognize Alan Klopping as the 33rd Assembly District’s Outstanding Teacher for the Month of April.”
