Adelanto Woman Kidnapped by Man in a Stolen Vehicle

ADELANTO, Calif:(VVNG.com)- A 28-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for kidnapping and possession of a stolen vehicle, authorities said.

On Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at approximately 10:45 pm deputies were called to a family disturbance at an apartment complex in the City of Adelanto.

Deputy Will Fifita of the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station, assigned to the City of Adelanto, responded to the complex and spoke with a witness of the disturbance. The witness reported to Deputy Fifita the suspect, Raymond Espinoza, and a female were having an argument in the parking lot when Espinoza pulled out a knife. Espinoza then forced the female into a vehicle with him and drove away before deputies arrived.

Deputies began investigating and were eventually led to the Chevron Station in West Cajon Valley at Hwy 138 and Interstate 15. Deputy Patrick Higgins located the vehicle, which was determined to have been stolen out of Fontana on November 14, 2016. The vehicle was returned to the rightful owner and the female victim was found unharmed.

Raymond Espinoza was arrested for kidnapping and possession of a stolen vehicle as well as a probation violation. He was transported to High Desert Detention Center where he is being held without bail.
