Adelanto sponsoring weekend city-wide yard sale

Two-day weekend event coincides with Stadium Swap Meet

ADELANTO— Got all your spring cleaning done, have already taken items to the Free Dump Day event, running out of storage space—but still have items you need to get rid of? Don’t fret, the City of Adelanto is having a City Wide Yard Sale from dawn until dusk on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20.

Any Adelanto resident can participate, with no need to register, and the best part—there are no fees, license or permit required! Residents can set-up items in their front yard, driveway or garage, and there’s no limit on how many items or what can be sold.

No one from outside Adelanto can bring items into the city to sell—but, coincidentally, the city will also hold its first Stadium Shoppers Swap Meet at Adelanto Stadium on Saturday only where non-residents can bring items to sell after renting a space at Stadium’s parking lot. The Stadium Shoppers Swap Meet and Flea Market was scheduled to better serve not only the residents of Adelanto, but all those who live in the west portion of the Victor Valley.

“We are diversifying activities at the Stadium, from swap meets to rodeos, baseball and concerts to football…High Desert residents now have another venue to suit all tastes,” said Cindy Herrera, Administrative Services Director.
