ADELANTO:(VVNG.com)- On Wednesday, January 20th at about 5:30 PM, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to perform a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle occupied by two or three.
The male driver failed to yield and eventually pulled the vehicle into the Circle K parking lot at the corner of Air Expressway and Highway 395 and two female suspects foot bailed from the vehicle.
Per scanner traffic, a deputy detained the females after attempting to run. The vehicle continued driving recklessly towards Jonathan and running through stop signs.
“Me and my daughter almost got hit by the person being chased by the cops they went north on Jonathan they [were] chasing a vehicle a greyish Jeep Cherokee,” stated Victor Valley News member Matthew Jepson.
Deputies continued in the pursuit that at certain points reached speeds of 60-70 MPH through dirt roads. The suspect eventually stopped the and foot bailed from the vehicle.
A Sheriff’s helicopter was called in to assist ground units with the search for the suspect. After searching the open desert for about 20 minutes and with the help of Sheriffs helicopter 40King deputies located the suspect hiding. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
