Adelanto police arrest documented gang member in possession of meth for sale

Jamie Perez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales

ADELANTO, Calif. ( — A 42-year-old documented LA street gang member was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales in Adelanto, officials said.

On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 6:15 pm, Deputy K. Nguyen responded to a residence in the 11700 block of Wallflower Court reference an ongoing criminal investigation.

According to a sheriff’s news release, “Deputy Nguyen contacted Jamie Perez at the front of the residence and he gave deputies consent to search his bedroom. A search of Perez’s bedroom revealed digital scales, multiple small plastic baggies, drug paraphernalia and approximately 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Perez was taken into custody without incident at the location.” 

Sheriff’s officials said Perez was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sale and an outstanding warrant out of San Bernardino County.

He is currently being held at High Desert Detention Center in lieu of 140,000.00 bail.
