
ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An Adelanto man who caught two suspects attempting to break into his car was shot three times as he ran after them, officials said.
It happened on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at about 2:42 am, in the 15200 block of Alexandria Street in Adelanto.
Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the area receiving reports of a shooting.
According to a sheriff’s news release, the victim saw two suspects attempting to break into his vehicle that was parked on the curb outside his house. He went outside to stop them, and the suspects attempted to flee on foot.
“The victim ran after them and the suspects shot at him, hitting him three times,” police said.
The victim, a 27-year-old Adelanto man was airlifted to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to his rib cage and left arm.
Police are continuing to search for the suspects described as two Black Male Adults wearing red and black clothing. No other suspect descriptions were available.
