Adelanto man arrested after attacking teen with a glass mug

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An Adelanto man was arrested for punching and hitting a 17-year-old in the head with a glass mug, officials said.

It happened on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at about 11:28 pm, when dispatch received a report of a child abuse involving the suspect Dwayne Johnson.

Deputy David Moore responded to the location in the 11400 block of Arlington Street in Adelanto and investigated the allegations.

“Deputy Moore learned the victim confronted Dwayne Johnson about how he was treating his children. Johnson became upset at the victim and struck him in the head with a glass mug and punched the victim multiple times in the face,” stated a sheriff’s news release.

Dwayne Johnson was arrested on charges of child abuse and booked at High Desert Detention Center. Johnson is currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
