Adelanto woman, 18, and 2 teens arrested for carjacking, assault, and robbery

The victim informed deputies that he had met with a female juvenile who he knew from Instagram

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) An 18-year-old Adelanto woman and two 17-year-old teen’s were all arrested for carjacking, assault, and robbery after meeting the victim using Instagram, officials said.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at approximately 11:58 am, deputies from the Central Station responded to the area of F. Street and 41st Street in San Bernardino following the report of a carjacking.

“Upon arrival, the victim informed deputies that he had met with a female juvenile who he knew from Instagram,” stated a news release.

The female and the victim entered a local business to purchase a drink and after exiting the location, they walked over to the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot.

As they were approaching the vehicle, a female suspect, later identified as Diamond Lucious, 18, of Adelanto, and a male juvenile suspect approached the victim and began to punch him multiple times, officials said.

The victim attempted to run away, but was chased by all three suspects and fell to the ground. The suspects punched and kicked the victim and took his car keys. The suspects stole the victim’s vehicle and his cell phone and fled the location.

Later that the day, the victim’s vehicle was involved in a traffic collision in Rialto. Officers responded and all three suspects were taken into custody.

Lucious was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center and is currently being held on $100,000 bail.

The two juveniles a Hispanic female from San Bernardino and a Hispanic male from Rialto were arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall and are being held on no bail warrants.

All three suspects were charged with PC 215(a) Carjacking, PC 211 Robbery, and PC 245(a)(1) Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
