Active police standoff closes 7th Street in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An active police standoff has closed a stretch of 7th Street in Victorville Wednesday afternoon.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies with the Victorville Station received reports of a man with a gun near 7th Street and Circle Drive just before 3 p.m.
Officers quickly surrounded the parking lot of an auto body shop with their weapons drawn. A Sheriff and CHP helicopter also circled overheard the scene.
Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez with the Victorville Police Department said that no shots had been fired by either the deputies or the suspect.

7th Street is closed between Center and Mojave Drive for an unknown duration.
