Accident on SB-15 near Glen Helen Parkway prompts SigAlert Friday morning

FONTANA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A traffic accident on the southbound I-15 near Glen Helen Parkway, prompted officials to issue a SigAlert Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, at about 5:25 am, the pickup truck crashed into the rear of the tractor-trailer on the southbound I-15 freeway, north of Sierra Avenue.
The vehicles were blocking the no. 4 lane. And the impact caused the pickup truck to become embedded into the truck, per the logs.
Officials are in the process of towing the vehicles and clearing the scene.
A SigAlert was issued at 6:45 am, due to the incident blocking the no 3. and 4 lanes for approximately 1 hour due to some complications.
Motorist passing by said the rig was slowly pulling away with the red truck and attempting to exit at Sierra with the assistance of CHP.
Motorists traveling through this area should expect some delays.
No injuries have been reported and CHP is handling the investigation.
