AAA wants to help you get home safe this the New Year’s for FREE
After the New Year’s Eve drinks, don’t drive, call AAA for a free tow

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — This New Year’s Eve if you plan on drinking, getting turnt up, tipsy, lit, or whatever you choose to call it, AAA wants to help get you home safely as a way to discourage people from drinking and driving.
If there’s no designated driver or rideshare available, drivers can call AAA for a free tow home, up to seven miles for free as part of the Holiday Safe Ride Program.
The driver does not have to be a AAA member to utilize the service. Again, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A AAA MEMBER! No excuses!
The Program begins Tuesday, 12/31 at 6 p.m. and ends Wednesday, 1/1 at 6 a.m.
List of counties included in Southern California: Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Tulare and Ventura.
Local motorists must dial 800-400-4222 to request the service.
AAA reminds everyone to stay safe this year by designating a sober driver, calling a cab or arranging to stay with a friend before kicking off your Holiday celebrations!

Generally, a first DUI conviction in California is a misdemeanor. Convicted motorists face $390 to $1,000 in fines plus penalty assessments that can reach several thousand dollars or more. (Get a better idea of how much a first DUI will cost you.)
New Year’s Day is the second most deadly day for drivers.
