Homeowner Shot At After Confronting Suspected Trespassers in Vehicle on Hesperia Property
HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A homeowner was shot at after confronting suspected trespassers sitting inside a vehicle on his property Thursday evening in Hesperia.
The incident was reported at about 7:58 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, in the 4600 block of Summit Valley Road.
According to information provided by Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station Public Information Officer Amber Hutton, the victims, who live on the property, confronted several people inside a gray Chevrolet Traverse after discovering them on their property.
The suspects left the area, but a short time later a black Jeep Cherokee arrived and allegedly attempted to strike one of the homeowners with the vehicle.
The occupants of the Jeep then fired multiple shots toward the homeowner before fleeing the area, Hutton said.
Deputies searched the surrounding area for the suspect vehicle but were unable to locate it. Investigators recovered two 9mm fired cartridge casings at the scene.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
