Three Arrested After 16-Year-Old Allegedly Intentionally Struck By Vehicle In Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Three people have been arrested following an investigation into the intentional striking of a 16-year-old boy with a vehicle in Victorville, including a 20-year-old man accused of attempted murder.

The incident occurred Wednesday, July 8, at approximately 2:26 p.m., near Foxfire Road and Amethyst Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of a juvenile who had been struck by a vehicle. When deputies arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains hospitalized.

Investigators determined that 23-year-old Autumn Faller, of Redlands, had transported the juvenile to a residence in the 13700 block of Foxfire Road to retrieve personal property from the home of her ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Matthew Williams of Victorville.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Faller became involved in a verbal altercation with Matthew Williams’ father, 48-year-old Joshua Williams, in the roadway. During the confrontation, the juvenile exited the vehicle and was intentionally struck by a vehicle driven by Matthew Williams, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the collision.

On Thursday, July 9, investigators served a search warrant at the Foxfire Road residence. Detectives assigned to the Victorville Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau, along with members of the Victorville City Gang Impact Team, arrested Matthew Williams and Joshua Williams during the operation.

Matthew Williams was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, criminal threats, and an outstanding felony warrant. He remains in custody in lieu of $575,000 bail.

Joshua Williams was booked on suspicion of accessory after the fact and remains in custody in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Faller was arrested on suspicion of child abuse causing great bodily injury and remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail.
