UPDATE: Missing 82-year-old Apple Valley man found safe

UPDATE: Charles Stover has been located safe and has been returned to his home.

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating critical missing person Charles Stover, 82, a resident of Apple Valley.

Deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Ivanpah Road to investigate a missing person report at about 3:46 am on New Years Day 2020.

During the investigation, deputies learned Charles Stover left the residence between 12:00 a.m and 3:00 a.m, in a white 2002 Toyota Tacoma, bearing California license plate 6Y92744.

Sheriff’s officials said Charles suffers from dementia and recently moved to the Victor Valley area.

Charles is described as a white male adult, 5’11, 160 with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt and possibly wearing a light blue jacket.

Authorities also said Charles may be driving to Granada Hills in the Toyota Tacoma but his whereabouts are currently unknown.
