56-Year-Old Dean J. Sutherland Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 56-year-old man from Victorville was killed Tuesday night in a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Hesperia Road.
The collision occurred around 10:34 p.m. on June 10, 2025, in the northbound lanes of Hesperia Road, just south of Jasmine Street. Emergency responders from the Victorville Police Department, Victorville Fire Department, and American Medical Response arrived at the scene.
Preliminary investigation findings indicate the crash involved a gray Ford F150 and a red BMW R1100RT motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, later identified as Dean J. Sutherland, suffered major injuries and was transported to Desert Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and has taken over the case.
Due to the crash, authorities closed Hesperia Road between Jasmine Street and Bear Valley Road for several hours while the scene was processed.
