3 men arrested for vehicle burglary and receiving stolen property in Barstow

BARSTOW, Calif. — Officers from the Barstow Police Department arrested three suspects for vehicle burglary and receiving stolen property.

On November 25, 2019, at approximately 12:52 A.M., officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of East Main Street in Barstow regarding a vehicle burglary in progress.

According to a news release, “the suspects had broken out a window to a vehicle and stole property out of it. The suspects then cut the lock off of a U-Haul trailer and stole several boxes from inside of it.

As officers arrived on scene, they observed a vehicle leaving the parking lot that was packed with U-Haul boxes.

Officers conducted a felony vehicle stop on the vehicle and detained the three occupants identified as William Dawson, 46, Samuel Zamora, 49, and Darrell Yuen, 33.

Officials said the victim responded to the scene of the vehicle stop and identified the property that was inside of it as belonging to him.

Dawson, Zamora, and Yuen were arrested and booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Jail for burglary and receiving/possession of stolen property.
