29-yr Old Man Dies After Parachuting Accident

PERRIS: According to a coroners press release, Perris Police officers responded to an air emergency at the Perris Valley airport located at 2091 Goetz Road in Perris on Friday, 12/27/13, at about 11:19 a.m. Upon arrival, Perris Police officers located a 29-year-old white male adult who was involved in a parachuting accident. California Department of Fire and American Medical Response personnel arrived on scene and provided life saving measures to the victim.
The skydiver was making a routine drop over Perris Valley Airport and during his attempt to land he was seriously injured.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. Perris Station detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation. The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified. At least two people have died in skydiving accidents at Perris Valley Airport in 2013.
