29-yr Old Man Dies After Parachuting Accident

PERRIS: According to a coroners press release, Perris Police officers responded to an air emergency at the Perris Valley airport located at 2091 Goetz Road in Perris on Friday, 12/27/13, at about 11:19 a.m. Upon arrival, Perris Police officers located a 29-year-old white male adult who was involved in a parachuting accident. California Department of Fire and American Medical Response personnel arrived on scene and provided life saving measures to the victim.

The skydiver was making a routine drop over Perris Valley Airport and during his attempt to land he was seriously injured.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. Perris Station detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation. The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.¬†At least two people have died in skydiving accidents at Perris Valley Airport in 2013.
