28-Year-Old Yucaipa Man Arrested For Identity Theft

YUCAIPA, Calif.(VVNG.com)– A 28-year-old Banning man is under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle and identity theft, authorities said.
On December 10, 2016 at about 8:00 pm, deputies approached Marcos Canizales and another unidentified suspect to speak with on Avenue H near Robin Court, both were standing next to a stolen vehicle.
The unidentified suspect ran and Canizales was immediately detained. Deputies found Canizales’ property inside of the stolen car, along with several bank checks, debit cards, credit cards, and vehicle registration cards, belonging to multiple people residing in Yucaipa, Redlands, Banning, Fontana, and Bloomington.
Following Canizales arrest, an investigation was initiated to identify the owners of the found property. To date, approximately 10 people have been contacted and identified as victims of Identity Theft.
