28-Year-Old Male Rescued From Silverwood Lake Dies

SILVERWOOD LAKE:(VVNG.com)- One of the victims rescued after a near drowning at Silverwood lake on Wednesday afternoon has passed away.
At about 3:30 PM, on June 8th, Theodore Olson, 28, of Hesperia was out fishing with an unidentified 71-year-old male.
According to authorities, the pair were out fishing near the Cedar Springs Dam when for unknown reasons they fell from the bluff and into the lake.
A San Bernardino County Fire press release stated that “prior to the arrival of County Fire and County Sheriff, the state park rangers initiated a search and successfully rescued the first victim, who was transported back to the boat ramp for further treatment”. The 71-year-old victim was transported by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Medical Center in stable condition.
Olson was located submerged in the lake after a thorough search by state park rangers and paramedics from Air Rescue 307 and was ultimately transported by air to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in grave condition with CPR in progress.
The San Bernardino Coroner’s said Olson was pronounced dead at 5:20 PM., on Wednesday.
