LUDLOW, CA:(VVNEWS.com)- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left a 25-year-old man dead on Labor Day.
The single vehicle crash involving a 2012 Ford Fusion was reported at 5:03 a.m., on September 5, 2016, along Interstate 40 a few miles west of Ludlow.
Through investigation, CHP officials determined the vehicle was approaching Crucero Road while in the no. 1 lane. The driver allowed the Ford to veer to the left across the left shoulder and onto the descending dirt embankment. The Ford began to rotate in a clock wise direction and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver of the Ford was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected, sustaining fatal injuries.
According to the San Bernardino Coroners, Cody Brown a resident of Cypress, CA was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two passengers exited the Ford by their own means and waited for emergency personnel to arrive. The two passengers sustained minor injuries and were not transported.
Drugs and alcohol are not a suspected factor in this collision. This collision is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Area.
