22-Year-Old Killed in Apple Valley Accident Identified

APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): A Lucerne Valley family is mourning the loss of their youngest son after an August 21st single-vehicle traffic collision. The 22-year-old man, identified as Jack Koop died at the scene after being ejected from his truck.

CHP officials said that at the time of the collision, Koop was not wearing a seatbelt. He was traveling eastbound on Cahuilla Road at an unknown rate of speed, when for unknown reasons he swerved into a dirt beam causing the truck to overturn.

Koop was described by loved ones as a sweet soul that will forever be missed. The family is devastated and shocked by the loss of Koop, the youngest of five children.
