2 Victorville businesses robbed within an hour apart Sunday night

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Two Victorville businesses located six miles apart were robbed at gunpoint within an hour on Sunday night, officials said.

At about 10:21 pm on September 29, 2019, the Green Tree Market in the 14200 block of Hesperia Road was robbed at gunpoint.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told VVNG, an unknown male wearing dark clothing, with his face covered entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the register.

Rodriguez said the suspect fled with cash and was unable to be located during an area search. 

About an hour later, deputies were called to the Valero gas station in the 15300 block of Village Drive reference an armed robbery at the business.

Rodriguez said, “an unknown male, wearing dark clothing, with his face covered brandished a firearm and demanded money, merchandise, and a customers’ wallet.”

The suspect fled the location and was unable to be located during an area search. Rodriguez told VVNG investigators do not believe both armed robberies are related.
