
UPLAND, Calif. (VVNG.com) Two Victor Valley residents were arrested in Upland after they were found in possession of stolen mail.
The bust happened on September 5th, when officers with the Upland Police Department made a traffic stop on a 2006 Ford Fusion.
Inside the vehicle were Russell Moore, 24, of Hesperia and Tessie Nethery, 26, of Apple Valley.
“During the traffic stop officers noticed numerous pieces of mail addressed to residences in Fontana,” stated a Fontana PD news release.
There are over 20 victims in this case with most of the mail stolen from Hunter’s Ridge and Sierra Lakes communities in Fontana.
Inside the vehicle, officers also located pry bars consistent with being used to break into mailboxes.
Moore and Nethery were arrested for several outstanding warrants and possession of burglary tools.
“Charges of identity theft are pending while officers are making contact with victims of the mail theft,” stated the release.
Fontana detectives are working with the Upland Police Department to make contact with victims of this crime.
