
HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Two Hesperia women are behind bars for burglary after breaking into a home and loading a U-Haul truck with stolen property, authorities said.
On Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 6:26pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a 911 call regarding a residential burglary in progress.
According to the caller, subjects who do not belong at the residence were seen loading items from inside the house into a U-Haul truck.
Deputies Nick Paslak, Sean Byrne and Jeff Henry immediately responded and located the U-Haul truck and detained Rachelle Riley, 41, and Stephanie Barling, 28.
The owner of the residence responded and was able to identify all the property inside the truck.
Rachelle Riley and Stephanie Barling were arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of narcotic paraphernalia and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. They are currently being held in lieu of $85,000.00 each.
