2 Arrested After OnStar Tracks Stolen Car in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Deputies arrested two suspects after a car theft tracking device led authorities to a home in Victorville.

On Thursday, June 15, 2017, at approximately 10:47 am, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from OnStar reporting a stolen vehicle out of Monrovia had been located through their system, officials said.

With help from GPS tracking, OnStar was able to determine that the vehicle was stationary in the 13900 block of Cahuenga Road in the county area of Victorville.

Two Deputies John Gice and Chad Cusimano- were dispatched to the area to locate the vehicle. Upon arriving in the area, deputies witnessed two different subjects get into the vehicle and attempt to start the car, officials said.

Deputies wrote a search warrant for the residence where the vehicle was located. While serving the search warrant another stolen vehicle, a stolen firearm and ammunition were found, a press release stated.

Both subjects at the residence, Aaron Valles, 25, and Sandra Gomez, 23, (residents of Victorville) were arrested on charges of possession of stolen vehicles and possession of stolen property, officials confirmed.

Aaron Valles was found to be a convicted felon and was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Valles and Gomez were booked at High Desert Detention Center where they later posted bail and were released, officials stated.
