Adelanto deputy returns stolen fridge; 2 arrested

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A teen and an adult were arrested after breaking into a vacant home and stealing a refrigerator, officials said.

Deputy Montes with the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a burglary in progress call in the 11000 block of Hardy Avenue in Adelanto on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. At about 10:25 pm, a witness called to report two male suspects entered a vacant residence and removed items.

“The suspects were seen walking down the street pushing a refrigerator on a moving dolly and carrying other stolen items in a trash can,” stated sheriff’s officials in a news release.

Deputies arrived and contacted Miguel Marin, 22,  and a 16-year-old male juvenile both residents of Adelanto as they pushed the stolen refrigerator down the street.

Through investigation, the deputies identified the victim and returned all identifiable property.

Marin was arrested for residential burglary and booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he’s currently being held in lieu of $75,000.00 bail. The 16-year-old was arrested for residential burglary and booked at Apple Valley Juvenile Detention Center.
