ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) – In response to the alarming rise in catalytic converter thefts, the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station and Victor Valley Towing are organizing the “Catalytic Converter Marking” community event. This event aims to help Adelanto residents protect their vehicles from theft by marking their catalytic converters.
Catalytic converter theft has become a pervasive issue across the nation, and our community is not immune to this rising trend. These devices contain valuable precious metals, making them an attractive target for thieves. Moreover, the absence of identifying markings on catalytic converters makes it difficult to trace and recover stolen items, resulting in minimal accountability for the criminals involved.
The Catalytic Converter Marking event offers a simple yet highly effective solution to safeguard your vehicle. By etching your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) onto your converter, it becomes less appealing to thieves and easier to trace back to its rightful owner. Additionally, this proactive measure enhances the chances of successful prosecution should a thief be caught with stolen converters.
Join the effort on November 18th at the Adelanto Stadium from 8:00am to 12:00pm to take advantage of this opportunity. The event is brought to you by the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station and Victor Valley Towing, who are committed to promoting community safety.
Please note that reservations are required to participate.
To make an appointment, either log on to Evenbrite or call (760) 552-6845. Remember, this event is exclusively for Adelanto residents, so don’t miss this chance to protect your investment and contribute to creating a secure community for everyone.
