19-year-old sitting in her car robbed by two suspects in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Two suspects are in custody after they allegedly robbed a teen girl sitting in a parked car Monday night, officials said.
At about 11:39 pm., on May 5, 2019, deputy Gerard Ciani responded to a robbery call in the 15000 block of Tuscola Road in Apple Valley.
According to Ciani, the victim was sitting in her vehicle parked in front of the location when a vehicle pulled up next to her and two males exited the vehicle.
“One subject opened the driver door of the victim’s vehicle, pulling her out along with her purse. The other subject walked over to the victim grabbing her purse from her person and striking her in the process,” stated Ciani.
Ciani said both subjects entered the vehicle they arrived in and left the scene.
Through further investigation, the suspects were identified as Carl Young, 20, a resident of Apple Valley and Dorthy Shaw, 20, a resident of San Bernardino.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for violation of PC 211, Robbery- Strong Arm. Young and Shaw are being held on $100,000 bail.
