18-year-old arrested for robbing pizza delivery driver at gunpoint in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. ( — Police arrested an 18-year-old Victorville man for the robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver, officials said.

Detectives along with the business worked together and gathered information on the three suspects responsible for the armed robbery of the delivery driver that occurred at about 10:00 pm in the 15100 block of Ivy Ct. in Adelanto on September 25, 2018.

Authorities positively identified one of the suspect’s as Jayveyon Louis Burley, and arrested him at a residence in the 15600 block of Joshua Road in Adelanto at about 8:00 pm, on September 26, 2018, booking logs showed.

“Burley, a resident of Victorville, was found in possession of the weapon used in the commission of the crime, a black mask and other evidence pertinent to the crime,” stated a Thursday morning sheriff’s news release.

Burley was booked at High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bail. It is believed Burley could be responsible for several additional robberies within the high desert.

Authorities are continuing to search for the other two suspects described only as two Black male adults.
