17-Year-Old Girl Arrested For Attempted Murder After Allegedly Stabbing 15-Year-Old Girl In Barstow

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 17-year-old Barstow girl was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing left another teenage girl seriously injured Tuesday evening.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 7:23 p.m., Barstow Police officers responded to the 500 block of East Virginia Way regarding a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old female Barstow resident suffering from a stab wound to her upper left shoulder area. Paramedics from the Barstow Fire Protection District responded and began treatment before the victim was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Police said the victim is in stable condition.

During the investigation, officers identified the suspect as a 17-year-old female Barstow resident who allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.

While officers were investigating the stabbing, the suspect’s parents contacted police to report that their daughter had been jumped and sustained injuries.

Medical personnel responded and transported the 17-year-old suspect to Barstow Community Hospital for treatment. Officers continued gathering evidence and later interviewed the suspect.

After being medically cleared, the 17-year-old was arrested and booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall Detention Center in Apple Valley on suspicion of attempted murder under California Penal Code 664/187(a).
