16-year-old with gunshot wound shows up at local hospital

HESPERIA, Calif. ( — A 16-year-old was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound, officials said.

At approximately 10:53 pm on December 14, 2019, deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to an area hospital following the report of a gunshot wound victim being treated at the location. 

“The victim is a male, 16 years of age, he is expected to recover from his injury,” stated Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Jodi Miller. “The victim did not have any information for deputies regarding a possible suspect and only that the incident occurred at an unknown location on Danbury.”

Miller said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hesperia station at 760-947-1500.
