15-Year-Old Driver Leads Deputies on Pursuit Through Victorville in a Stolen Vehicle

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 15-year-old driving a stolen vehicle led police in Victorville on a high-speed pursuit.

At about 1:19 am, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, Deputy A. Puga of the Victorville Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of Mojave Drive and Amargosa Road on a 2016 Hyundai Accent, stolen from the Victorville area.

The driver of the reported stolen vehicle, however, failed to yield to Deputy Puga’s attempt to stop them, resulting in a pursuit that spanned several residential streets.

The chase terminated when the driver pulled into the Pebble Beach Apartments, bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.

Without further incident, the driver exited the stolen Hyundai and was promptly taken into custody by law enforcement officers.

Two juvenile passengers, also present in the vehicle, attempted to flee on foot within the apartment complex but were quickly apprehended by deputies.

The juvenile driver was transported to Apple Valley Juvenile Hall. The two passengers were released to a guardian.
