15 Freeway Traffic Shutdown Due to Semi Fire

UPDATE @ 5:40 PM– Northbound lanes have reopened. The No.1 lane on the southbound side of the freeway is open while all others remain closed.
CAJON PASS:(VVNG.com)- A fully engulfed big rig on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway has temporarily shut down traffic on the 15 freeway.
According to the California Highway patrol incident logs, the fire was reported at 4:19 PM, on the southbound 15 freeway just north of Glen Helen Parkway.
The driver of the tractor-trailer managed to unhook the trailer from the cabin.
Due to heavy smoke CHP logs showed all lanes of traffic on the north and southbound were blocked as of 4:30 PM.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
