SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A continuing countywide crime suppression effort led to 14 arrests, the seizure of six firearms, and more than two pounds of suspected narcotics during the week of April 6 through April 12, 2026.
The enforcement activity is part of Operation Consequences, an ongoing initiative that the Sheriff’s Department has been conducting across the county, with weekly updates detailing arrests, firearm recoveries, and narcotics seizures.
According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from patrol stations and personnel from partnering agencies, served seven search warrants and contacted suspects throughout Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, San Bernardino, Highland and Rialto.
During the same period, the San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums (SMASH) Street Enforcement Team conducted proactive patrols in the High Desert and surrounding areas.

Authorities said investigators contacted gang members and people prohibited from possessing firearms. As a result, six firearms were seized, including three ghost guns.
Investigators made 11 felony arrests, three misdemeanor arrests, and seized over two pounds of suspected narcotics during the operational period.
The Sheriff’s Department said the operation is funded through allocations approved by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, aimed at increasing law enforcement services and addressing quality-of-life issues throughout the county.

Operation Consequences is expected to continue over the coming months, focusing on targeted enforcement in the High Desert and surrounding areas within the Sheriff’s jurisdiction near the city of San Bernardino.
According to the written statement, the operation involves multiple agencies, including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Officials said the ongoing effort is intended to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest individuals illegally possessing, manufacturing, and trafficking firearms.
