ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A total of 81 people were contacted during the one-day operation that resulted in eleven arrests, officials said.
It happened on Friday, December 28, 2018, at about 1:00 pm. when deputies from the Victor Valley Station organized the operation in the city of Adelanto.
According to a sheriff’s news release, “the operation was an effort to suppress criminal activity and target crime areas in the city’s north end.”
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by members of Probation, San Bernardino County Regional Gangs and deputies from Victorville, Apple Valley, and Hesperia.
“During the enforcement period, a total of 81 proactive contacts were made, resulting in 11 arrests,” stated the release.
Officials said, seven of the arrests were for felony offenses ranging from probation and parole violations to possession of ecstasy for sales. Other arrests made were for outstanding warrants and possession of methamphetamine.
Four of the subjects contacted and arrested were found to be documented criminal street gang members living in the City of Adelanto.
