VICTORVILLE: (VVNG.com)- Police are looking for two suspects wanted in the theft of two compaction machines reported to be valued at $5,000. The theft took place in the Victorville Water District yard located on Hesperia Road and Eureka Road on Monday at about 2:00 a.m.
The machines are used to help maintain city streets and to keep them from failing. The equipment model # is MT-60 and the brand is Milkasa.
According to the surveillance video, the thieves cut the lock to the main gate and drove into the yard straight to the trucks. They continued to cut both locks used for securing the equipment, loaded them onto the suspect truck and drove off. The entire theft took 2 minutes. Suspect #1 was wearing a safety vest and a hard hat. Suspect #2 was wearing shorts and a hoodie.
Two local contractors from Kelley’s Underground and High Desert Underground have put up a $1,000 reward that leads to the arrest and conviction of these thieves. If you recognize these suspects or have more information, please contact the Victorville Police Department at (760)245-4211.
