BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Officers arrested a 25-year-old man after they responded to a burglary call at a home in the 500 block of E Fredericks Street and spotted two suspects exiting the house.

Corporal Cardenas with the Barstow Police Department responded to the burglary at about 12:03 am and while waiting for an additional unit he noticed movement in the backyard of the residence.

The officer observed two black male suspects wearing hoodies exiting from the rear door of the residence.

“Corporal Cardenas gave chase and caught suspect Timothy Tucker while the second suspect took off running northbound through the houses. Officers set a perimeter around the area and conducted a search for the outstanding suspect,” stated a Barstow Police news release. “Officers conducted a search of the area and located a large bag belonging to the victim hidden under a vehicle.”

The officers searched the victim’s residence and determined the suspects smashed a bedroom window to gain entry and ransacked the home.

Timothy Tucker was found to be in possession of stolen property belonging to the victim during a pre-booking search, officials said. The victim’s property taken during the burglary was returned.

Suspect Timothy Richard Tucker was booked into the San Bernardino County Barstow Jail for P.C.459. A report will be sent to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for filing.

The second suspect is still outstanding and anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Corporal M, Cardenas or the Barstow Police Department at (760) 256-2211. Those wishing to remain anonymous may also make a report by calling the WE-Tip hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
