1 person airlifted from crash on highway 395 Thursday morning in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — One person was airlifted following a rollover crash on US Highway 395 Thursday morning.
It happened at about 9:00 am., on March 5, 2020, south of the intersection of US-395 and Eucalyptus in Victorville.
Firefighters from Victorville City Fire responded to the incident and located a single-vehicle with major damage off the roadway and determined extrication would be required.
A medical helicopter was requested to airlift one occupant with critical injuries. An additional ground ambulance was requested for a second patient.
Extrication on the female patient was complete by 9:24 am.
Highway 395 was shut down in both directions between Main Street and Deodar Street as first-responders worked the incident.
Helicopter Mercy Air 22 landed on the highway and subsequently airlifted a female patient to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The Victorville Police Department is handling the investigation.
