APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) At least one person died after a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer and burst into flames.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:42 p.m. Thursday night on the northbound 15 Freeway just north of the Stoddard Wells/Bell Mountain Road exit.
When firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived on scene they were able to extinguish the fire within 5 minutes. However, the driver of the green 1999 Toyota Tacoma was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other information was immediately available as of midnight Friday morning.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
