HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A 36-year-old male was arrested following a Monday night robbery and police say two additional suspects remain outstanding.
The armed robbery happened January 8, at about 10:20 pm, in the 16900 block of Main Street in Hesperia.
According to a sheriff’s news release, the victim was in a parking lot near the location when he was approached and robbed at gunpoint by two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female.
“After the robbery occurred, the victim was able to follow the suspect vehicle and provide Sheriff’s Dispatch with an updated location of the vehicle. The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot,” stated the release.
A sheriff’s aviation unit responded and assisted ground deputies as they established a perimeter. The suspect, Horacio Campos, of Apple Valley was located hiding near a residence in the 8800 block of Tangerine Avenue.
After an extensive search police called off the search for the two outstanding suspects.
Campos was found to be a parolee at large and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and, he remains in custody.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives continue to attempt to identify the other two suspects involved.
